A certified food enthusiast, RV started a passion in cooking and baking at the early age of 9. His first cookbook, Gastronomy & I, was published in 2008 while he was completing his Culinary Arts degree in DLSU-CSB where he graduated with honors. He trained in the pastry kitchen of the Peninsula Hotel Manila and attended several cooking classes overseas before entering the academe as a Baking and Asian cuisine instructor. His second cookbook, Baking Secrets, is now under publication process, and will be released in October.
RV is currently a student at Boston University in Massachusetts, taking up post-graduate degree in Food Studies with concentration in Food Policy.
